Today’s Mail Call brings us a neat little pouch (in Multicam, no less) from Triple Aught Design. Named the “GPP1”, this pouch is meant to carry smaller items and pieces of gear. They are presently offered in black, coyote brown, foliage green, and Multicam colorways.
As far as organization goes, there is a front zippered flat pocket, along with a zippered main compartment that has two mesh dividers inside. There is also a small tab inside the main compartment to dummy-cord any important or expensive gear, as well as a grommet drain hole at the bottom.
The outside of the pouch features two narrow elastic loops (one on each end), meant for stashing pens or Chemlights. The back of the pouch has TAD’s typical MOLLE/PALS attachment system, featuring flexible vertical tabs secured with Velcro, meant for weaving through webbing or carrying via a belt.
Here are a few specifications (via the Triple Aught Design website):
- Dimensions: 6.0″ L x 2.0″ W x 3.75″ H (15.24 cm x 5.08 cm x 9.53 cm)
- Fabric: 1000D Invista Cordura
- Hardware: ITW Nexus GhillieTex Fasteners and YKK Zippers
Overall, this is a great little pouch, with about a million possible uses. Not quite as large as an admin pouch, but still featuring enough built-in organization to keep things where they need to be. This looks like the perfect carrying method for a smaller-sized survival kit, or even minimalistic EDC (every day carry) gear.
